Oaktree Federation Mathematics Intent
At The Oak Tree Federation our Mathematics curriculum is designed in line with our vision to inspire children’s learning for life. The federation has adopted the mastery approach with the intent that children acquire a deep, long-term, secure and adaptable understanding of the subject. The aim is to use the five big ideas of mastery to inspire all learners to develop their subject knowledge and mathematical skills. The aim is for children to feel confident in using the mastery approach in mathematics.
